Platypus from above

The unmistakable and world famous inhabitant of river systems and billabongs in Eastern and south-eastern Australia. This image of this unique mammal was captured in Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve near Canberra and shows a helicopter view of the animal so you can make out its duck like bill, flat tail and fins.
