Satin Bower Bird performs#2

A male Satin Bower Bird in its courting ritual picks up two milk bottle tops to try to extra impress the opposite sex. They collect blue items to decorate their bower to attract the female for mating. These days its quicker and easier to collect man-made plastic items than trying to find the traditional seeds, fruits and parrot feathers. The rear view provides a good look at the intricate blue scalloping of the feathers on the back of the bird.
