Description

Red Gum - shot for the Canberra Tree Network Exhibition 2021

Corner of Kinloch Circuit & Lycos Street, Bruce

This spectacular Eucalyptus blakelyi was included on the ACT Tree Register in 2011 and is an exceptional example of a local native species that reached maturity prior to urban development in the area. Its large spreading, sculptural canopy and interesting multi branched trunk habit contributes significantly to the surrounding landscape. It provides valuable habitat for nest building birds and contains a number of parrot hollows.
